FOGO E AGUA

FOGO e ÁGUA is a star-level restaurant with a progressive concept. Since autumn 2024, selected star chefs have been collaborating with the in-house kitchen team to host event-based dining experiences known as Fine Dining Ceremonies. The name, inspired by Portuguese explorers, reflects the culinary concept: “FOGO” (Portuguese for fire) signifies cooking over an open flame, adhering to the Open Fire Concept.

Olive groves and maritime charm offer a brief escape to sunnier climes. TAPATA brings the best of the Mediterranean to Bad Orb: delicate fish dishes, aromatic pasta, and fresh herbs.
Located in the picturesque Orbgrund within ALEA PARK, it combines Mediterranean cuisine with local hospitality.

LINA’S: OMA’S CUISINE ART IN NEW GASTSTUBE AT ALEA GOLF TRADITIONAL REGIONAL CUISINE IN A CONTEMPORARY DESIGN From summer 2025, the new restaurant at the Bad Orb Jossgrund golf course will serve food and drink based on Grandma Lina’s recipes – the grandmother of ALEA initiator Henning Strauss.

The restaurant is undergoing an architectural overhaul and is being relaunched with a new gastronomic concept. The communities of Jossgrund and Bad Orb come together on the golf course site – a place where ALEA would like to continue its culinary contribution to strengthening local culture. “With Lina’s, ALEA remains true to its attitude: preserve and change. We want to preserve the cultural heritage of culinary art – the traditional recipes of grandmothers and great-grandmothers from the Spessart are a value that must be preserved for future generations. With a contemporary presentation, we are transporting the secret recipes of regional cuisine into the future,” says Henning Strauss.

The initial menu recipes at “Lina’s” come from Lina Strauss. ALEA invites chefs from surrounding Hessian Spessart communities to submit original recipes, helping to collect culinary heritage. “We hope to spark enthusiasm for grandma’s original recipes. Anyone from neighboring valleys of the Hessian Spessart is welcome to send their favorite traditional dishes to our kitchen team,” says Henning Strauss.

In the coming months, the clubhouse at the golf course will undergo extensive renovations. By summer 2025, “Lina’s” plans to serve potato pancakes, beef with horseradish, and Petzkuchen.

BOTANICA

BOTANICA in ALEA PARK is a top-tier kiosk and educational café. Trainees and students from the Strauss company independently manage BOTANICA. Park visitors and Sunday picnickers can enjoy their weekend outings in Bad Orb with offerings like cold brew, flat white, espresso martini, matcha latte, exclusive New World wines from California, homemade organic ice cream (also botanical-based), croissants, and Sylter bread from the Strauss bakery.
